About Us Veterinarians Jon C. Taylor, D.V.M. In 1968, Jon C. Taylor graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine, and began his distinguished career in the animal care profession. His first year was spent working beside Dr. David Darter at Crystal Veterinary Clinic in Crystal City, Texas. 1969 was a momentous year for Dr. Taylor. He left Dr. Darter's practice to begin his own large animal facility in Carrizo Springs, Texas where he has lived and worked ever since. Dr. Taylor is known far and wide for his hard work, and dedication to his practice and to the community. For the past 33 years his practice and facility have grown to include small animal care, boarding, diagnostics, dental care for large and small animals, and a wide range of surgical procedures. His honesty, commitment, and devotion are known throughout South Texas. Ask almost anyone in the area about ol' Doc Taylor, and they'll have a warm, often times lighthearted, story to tell.
